This is not outright queer but is above & beyond latently so! Lick the Star is Sofia Coppola's first short film from 1998 & follows a clique of junior high girls as they navigate popularity politics, a conspiracy to poison the boys in their school, Flowers in the Attic and great 90s alternative queen bee fashion. It should be mentioned that I found out about this little gem from fag city, a great queer blog by Billy Cheer well worth checking out.
