Gossip's Brace Paine has made an awesome New Year's mix available to download on his blog. The mix is a collection of "fairly obscure" records and tapes he's been listening to. I've definitely never heard of most of the music on the mix, but there's some really great stuff on it that you should check out!

So a little while back I posted my favorites of the decade, but now I'm gonna give it a go on 2009. I think everyone would agree that 2009 sucked in a lot of different ways, but there were actually a few really great things so I'm gonna focus on those.

Fake Blood is definitely one of my favorite remixers so when I found he had taken the Gossip's 'Love Long Distance' and put his name on/in it, I knew I'd have a new jam on my hands....and I was right! As with most Fake Blood remixes, I think I like the remixed version better than the original. His remixes always have a great energy while maintaining the feel of the original. Anybody remember his 'Stuck on Repeat' remix? Little Boots' album cut sounds so weak next to that remix.

He mostly posts weird and arty photos with youtube videos, songs, and personal Gossip pics sprinkled in. It's definitely worth checking out if you have some time to kill.
As an aside, Gossip will be headlining a US tour with MEN this fall, so be sure to catch them in your town. Click here for US tour dates and, to get you excited about the tour, here are a couple of tracks from the bands!

Photos of Beth Ditto's line for plus size UK retailer Evans have been released. The line will be offered in sizes 10-24 (or 14-32 in the UK) and are kind of 80's/early 90's style. Not necessarily my cup of tea, but this will surely be a welcome addition to the fashion world for bigger girls. The line will debut July 9th and for those of you interested and willing to pay a buttload for freight, Evans does ship to the U.S.!
