Crappy Valentine's Gay

So Valentine's Day is around the corner and this year is a fresh year. I don't need flowers or candy and shit cause I'm gonna be kickin' it with my independent women parts 1 AND 2. Every fucking year it's always like boo hoo, being single sucks. You know what? I don't even want to have to think about what shit to pick out for someone. If I had my way, a boy would be like, I picked you up McDonald's and brought over the entire first season of Freaks and Geeks. You ready to chill? And you know that's how shit is with me.

To kick off the girl party, Robyn's new song has leaked and if you recognize the fat squishy bassline, it's because Diplo produced it. Also some jams from Mapei, The Pipettes, and Kelis. Valentine's Day is gonna get fucked up.

Robyn - No Hassle

Mapei - Video Vixens

The Pipettes - Our Love Was Saved By The Spaceman

Kelis - They Say (ft. Kid Cudi)

Before you my heart was acapella

I actually really like Kelis. I find her to be a breath of fresh air in the pop music industry, cause she takes chances with her sound and image and doesn't apologize for shit. Nobody has a voice like hers (though thin in parts, her husky tones are insane). Lately, Ms. Rogers has been planning a comeback of sorts, with rumored collaborations with Boyz Noize, Calvin Harris, Cee-Lo, and Crookers (which we've heard the product of), taking on a more dance and electronic oriented vibe. The alleged first single from this album, "Acapella", has been leaked by Kelis herself, and the result is a slinky jam produced by David Guetta.

Kelis - Acapella

I honestly hope for the best for her, because success in the US has been somewhat elusive (Bossy, Milkshake, Caught Out There...those aren't even her best songs). Collaborating to much success with Ol' Dirty Bastard, Busta Rhymes, N.E.R.D., and Richard X, she's made more of a name for herself in the UK, where "Lil Star" went to #3. She was also on the remix of Bjork's "Oceania" remix. 2010 might definately be the year of Kelis. Godspeed.

This is the single that should have been 2004.

Fuck them bitches

Uh, when did Kelis become totally awesome? How about when she teamed up with Crookers (famed duo of that Kid Cudi remix). Kelis has finally released the pop single that people cannot deny. No longer will she be ignored, neglected, and talked down upon, for this single makes up for YEARS of failure. Other producers on her 5th album rumored: Switch, Diplo, and I heard a rumor Boyz Noize was on it, but you never know. Get it, bitch.

Crookers & Kelis - No Security

Unfortunately it's a radio rip with some dumb girl doing that annoying DJ shout out thing that's so prevalent on mixtapes. Seriously, can we stop doing that? It ruined a perfectly good Ghostface Killah track I can no longer listen to.
